As we prepare to watch the rare Tuesday night football game, the Buffalo Sports and Entertainment Law Society is pleased to announce some exciting opportunities this upcoming week! We are pleased to announce two Round Table Discussions this Thursday, October 15th, and Tuesday, October 20th.

On Thursday, October 15th at 5:30 pm, we will have a Round Table titled “NCAA Administrators Talk Shop: COVID, NILs & Competition” to discuss the effects of COVID and name, image, and likeness legislation in NCAA athletic departments. We are excited to be joined by special guests that are in athletic departments all around the country to talk about their experiences dealing with the changing landscape of the NCAA. The special guests include:

– Paul Perrier ’08, USC Deputy Athletic Director

– Kristina Minor, Northwestern Associate Athletic Director for Compliance, and 

– Ellen Farris, American Athletic Conference Associate Commissioner

We also will be offering the opportunity to earn a $50 Amazon gift card! We are hosting a contest through DraftKings that will allow you to pick a fantasy lineup of your own by Sunday for the chance to win the top prize! All you have to do is follow the steps at, and we will send you a link to our DraftKings group where you can sign up and create your dream lineup! We will then congratulate the winner on Tuesday, October 20th at noon when we wrap up FANTASYPALOOZA with another Round Table discussion on the status of Mobile Sports Betting in New York State with Senator and Chairman of the Committee on Racing, Gaming and Wagering Joseph Addabbo Jr. Senator Addabboo will discuss the positives and potential dangers associated with mobile sports betting and how he and his bill address those issues.
